Rais-Shamsun Foundation
The Rais-Shamsun Foundation is a non-political, non-profitable government-registered organisation dedicated to education, dawah and full human welfare. Registered in 2019 with Scottish Charity number SCO52719, it works to serve humanity, reform society and build a kind, ethical community.
Goals & Objectives
Our goal is to seek the pleasure of Almighty Allah by carrying out da'wah activities. We focus on institutional Islamic and general education, career-oriented technical training in neglected sections of society, service to humanity and encouragement for good deeds.
Principles & Norms
- The Holy Qur'an and Sunnah are the main ideals of the Foundation.
- We accept the Qur'an and Sunnah in the light of the Salaf as-Salihin.
- We nurture the aqeedah and vision of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah.
- We call for shirk-free faith and bid'ah-free practices.
- We work for the unity and solidarity of the Ummah.
- We adopt moderation and avoid extreme polarisation on divisive issues.
- We refrain from political action and serve the greater good for all.
Expenditure Policy
- Donations are spent in the sector for which the donor donated; sectors are not mixed.
- 100% of Zakat funds are distributed to rightful recipients.
- Detailed accounts of income and expenditure are maintained for each project.
- Annual income & expenditure accounts are audited by a chartered accountant.
- All financial activities are monitored by a team of accounting experts.
